Byłabyś…

Fast food, cookies, chocolate, sugar, butter, juices, sweetened yogurt, cheese, milk, oil, nuts, wheat flour, cranberries, pasta, bread, rice, corn, bananas, and apples. It looks like a simple shopping list. But it’s not. It’s a list of fears.

Things she was afraid of. It’s the story of a girl who doubted her worth. She wanted to be someone better. Two words changed her life forever. Hunger became her best friend – it meant she was disappearing, shrinking, becoming less…

This isn’t just about food. It’s about those subtle, almost invisible rituals, behaviors, gestures, seemingly insignificant things that symbolize self-hatred, disgust, and slow self-destruction. A reality shared by hundreds, if not thousands, struggling with... Well, you know what I mean.

I know. This story is about me.

ZdrowieJEM

This series continues my exploration of personal experiences with eating disorders. The "body-food" relationship is the central theme, emphasizing its ambiguity.

For a healthy person, food is just food – pleasure and fuel for life. For someone unwell, food becomes pure emotion: extreme, unstable, irrational, unpleasant, and even brutal.

This series symbolizes my relationship with food and its impact on my body, illustrating the emotions I grappled with during my hardest moments and the consequences I faced.
