Due to the ongoing war, the festival, originally scheduled to start in early November 2023, was postponed to this spring. This year's edition featured as many as 50 exhibitions, with a predominant focus on the theme of war, including the conflict in Ukraine, presented through the personal stories of people dramatically uprooted from their environments.
Among the exhibited works were photographs by our collective's artist, Aleksandra Kossowska, who supported the humanitarian organization SmartAid.
SmartAid in Ukraine in 2022. Her subjects are individuals who face the daily challenges of life in the shadow of war. Here, we do not find images of direct clashes on the front lines, but rather the struggle with the emotions of evacuated families, seniors, and disabled individuals—longing, fear, and uncertainty.
